A native of San Antonio, Alex Aguirre attended the University of Notre Dame graduating in 1996 with a degree in government and public policy. While at Notre Dame, Mr. Aguirre was on the Dean’s list and was awarded a paid internship with the Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights to study human rights laws. He additionally spent a semester studying at the prestigious Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. After completing his degree, Mr. Aguirre enrolled at the University of Houston Law Center graduating in 1999. During law school, Mr. Aguirre served as a legal intern for a federal judge. Mr. Aguirre became a licensed attorney at the age of 25. Mr. Aguirre began his career defending insurance companies and corporations against injury and employment law claims. This is where he learned the strategies and philosophies employed by them in defending claims. After shifting his focus to representing individuals in personal injury and employment law cases, he has successfully recovered millions of dollars for his clients. Mr. Aguirre was again recently named one of San Antonio’s best personal injury lawyers by his peers. Mr. Aguirre is active in the local legal community as a member of the San Antonio Bar Association, the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Mexican American Bar Association. He has previously served as a Board Member and President of the Mexican American Bar Association. Mr. Aguirre is a former adjunct professor at Northwest Vista College. Mr. Aguirre is additionally licensed to practice in federal court.
